Michael Block joined OMERS in 2015 and is currently Senior Managing Director, Capital Allocation & Innovation. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing the overall capital allocation framework for OMERS Capital Markets, identifying long-term themes, and leading the corresponding investing strategies in collaboration with partners across OMERS.

Previously, Michael was Senior Vice President of Strategy & Asset Liability Management for OMERS, leading strategy across the organization.

Before joining OMERS, Michael was a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group, working globally across several industries on various strategic projects.

Michael is also a Director on the Board of LifeLabs, a leading healthcare diagnostics company.

Michael holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School.
